The Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada is like traveling to another world, or back in time if you can find the petroglyphs. We did a quick stop on the way from Zion to Vegas to do the short hike to the ring of fire. The hike is short and sweet, mostly in sand and sandstone, but the ring of fire is out of this world!

Length: 1.7 miles

Good for kids: yes! This was perfect for little and big kids – just bring lots of water and try to get there before it’s too hot.
